The summer crowds are gone and the Arkansas is running at its fall low. Raft trips go at 1pm, the guided kayak trip at 9am, and rental boats get a shuttle to the put-in.
Paddles and PFDs come with every boat. The shuttle is included.

A season on the Arkansas

We did the 1pm raft the first week of October and had the whole canyon to ourselves. Joaquin read every line out loud before we ran it. The cottonwoods were yellow the whole way down.
My two boys (8 and 11) paddled their own sit-on-tops on the morning trip. Tania kept the group tight and let them lead the last riffle.
Easy rental and the 10am shuttle left right on time. Low water meant we scraped bottom in two spots and had to hop out once. They warned us at the counter, so no complaints, just know it going in.
Called the morning of to ask if the river was worth it in late September. Bex said yes, go at 9, and she was right. Quiet, clear, and two bighorn on the bank above the second bridge.
Trips are priced per person, rentals per boat. Twelve or more paddlers? Call the shop for a group rate.
