Rafts, guided kayaks, and rentals

No, but it is different. Fall flows are low and clear, so the rapids are a little smaller and rockier and the flat stretches are slower. Every trip still runs. We tell you at check-in if a rental stretch has a spot where you might need to hop out.

Cold. Low fifties in the morning. Raft guests get a wetsuit and splash jacket, the guided kayak trip gets splash tops, and you can add a wetsuit to a rental for $10. Bring a fleece and a dry change of clothes for the drive home.

Ten and up for the raft trip. The guided kayak trip takes kids from about seven if they can swim and will wear the PFD all day. Ask at the counter if you are unsure.

Yes. Rentals ride the 10am van up to the put-in and float back to the shop. Guided trips are shuttled both ways.

We run until the flows and the weather say stop, usually the second half of October, and the booking calendar only shows days we will be on the water. Over the winter the shop is closed, but we answer the phone and email on weekdays and next season opens for booking in March.

On a rental, yes, and we have dog PFDs to borrow. Not on the raft or guided trips.
